Ankara (UNN) A Turkish African summit will kick off here Thursday and will discuss issues aiming to stress partnership between the two sides in all fields.
Ihlas Turkish news agency said the summit, organized by the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies will be attended by a large number of officials, representative of civil society organizations, academics, writers, businessmen, and experts.
The summit will discuss the situations in African countries, Turkish-African relations and ways to develop them in all fields, and opportunities to stress economic, trade, and investment cooperation, it said.
The summit aims to develop relations between Turkey and African countries and to increase cooperation between the, it added.
Turkey plans to hold the summit every five years and aims to increase the value of its trade with African countries to USD 30 billion by 2010./UNN
